Listed below are some of our past job openings for the summer/fall 2011 season on the Livengood Project. While we have completed the hiring process for these positions, we still welcome hearing from prospective candidates for future positions. The Livengood work schedule is typically 3 weeks on / 1 week off, and our winter season usually runs from early February thru April and the summer season from early June thru November. Salary is dependent on experience of applicant. Room & board and job specific training is provided on-site in Livengood.
Exploration Geologist
- Drill Core Logging Geologist - You will be responsible for detailed descriptions on oriented core and overseeing assistant geologists collecting engineering data. A bachelors degree in Geology and minimum 1-2 years prior experience in core logging are required.
- RC Logging Geologist - You will be responsible for detailed descriptions of RC drill chips and working in conjunction with our RC Drill Manager in overseeing RC drilling operations. A Bachelors degree in Geology and 1-2 years relevant experience are required.
Assistant Geologist
- You will provide assistance to the drill core logging geologist in the collection of geologic, orientation and engineering data. A Bachelors degree or current geology undergraduate with good rock and mineral identification skills is required.
Skilled Technician - Sample Handling and XRF analysis
- You will be responsible for running a Niton XRF analyzer and the organization of RC samples into shipments for submittal to the lab. We are looking for a detail oriented person with good spreadsheet skills that is not afraid to get dirty. Fork lift experience is helpful, but not required.
Skilled Technician - Downhole Surveyor
- This is a field technician position that is responsible for operating our gyroscopic drill hole surveying system. Prior downhole surveying not required but definitely a plus. This person should be adept at running equipment (generators, winches, etc.), computer literate, detail oriented, experienced with map and compass, and have a high degree of plain old common sense.
Laborer - Core Sawyer and Geologists Assistant
- Primary duties will be the sampling of core through the operation of a masonry core saw and assist the core logging geologist. This person will need to be detail oriented and prior mineral exploration experience is preferred.
